Central to his call to ministry has been his desire to make a positive difference in people's lives and in the world. He says, "My interests in theology, family systems, peace making, and facilitation have been bolstered by the many opportunities I have enjoyed in 25 years of ordained ministry. These have included 11-plus years as pastor in four congregations; 10 years as an intentional interim minister in eight congregations, and four years as assistant to the bishop and Director of Evangelical Mission in the Western Iowa Synod.
Peter founded Dialog Works as a nonprofit organization in October 2020. The organization grew out of his passion for ministry with congregations in transition and the effects of COVID-19 on small congregations.
